An artist has broken a world record by creating a huge traditional Indian picture made of lentils, rice, pasta and fruit.
Ranvir Kaur created the 163.5-square-metre Rangoli pattern on Nottingham's Old Market Square and has entered the Guinness Book of Records.
Rangoli is a traditional art form among Indian women, often created on the floor in front of homes.
Birmingham based artist Ranbir Kaur constructs a large floating flower rangoli installation on the outdoor pool-come-lake at the Custard Factory. The pool, which is flanked by an art gallery, bar/club, and creative businesses, is a perfect setting for a highly colourful and ambitious artwork.
